Woman sexually assaulted by therapist at Windsor massage parlor, say police

A male massage therapist has been charged with sexual assault after a complaint from a female client in December.

Police say the man charged has worked at several local massage agencies

Police say the alleged assault took place at a massage business in downtown Windsor.

A male massage therapist who police say has worked at several local massage agencies has been charged with sexual assault.

Police said the 46-year old Windsor man "touched the client inappropriately" during an appointment with a woman on December 29.

Stg. Steve Betteridge said police deal with the evidence of each individual case before determining if a charge is possible. He added generally speaking, it comes down to consent.

"Adults know the difference between consent and not consent," he said. "Adults should and do know why they are there, the purpose they are they for the massage. If it's crossed the line, and crossed the line into a criminal element, which investigators believe occurred, then that person is going to be held responsible."

The man was arrested just after midnight Wednesday.

The Windsor Police Services Major Crimes Branch is continuing to investigate, according to a media release.
