Duplex fire displaces 7 in Gatineau

A fire at a duplex on Moussette Boulevard in Gatineau has displaced six adults and one child, according to the Gatineau Fire Service.

A fire at a duplex on Moussette Boulevard in Gatineau has pushed six adults and a child out of their homes, according to the Gatineau Fire Service.

The fire originated in a basement apartment Tuesday around 4:40 p.m.

Firefighters had the flames under control by about 5:30 p.m. and damages — estimated to be about $75,000 — were limited to the basement area only.

No injuries were reported.
