Darren James More killed in Mapleton collision between 2 pickup trucks

Darren James More, 43, of Palmerston has been identified as the man killed in a collision between two pickup trucks in Mapleton, Ont., on Thursday morning.

Wellington Country OPP said in a release the crash happened at approximately 8 a.m., near the intersection of Concession 16 and Sideroad 15. 

"Reports indicate that a pickup truck with three occupants collided with another pickup truck with a lone occupant," wrote police in the release. 

Both vehicles came off the road and landed in a nearby field. More was transported to hospital by ambulance but was pronounced dead. 

Two of the people in the second pickup truck were seriously injured and were taken by Ornge air ambulance to a regional trauma centre.

The area had been closed to traffic but has since re-opened.
